Betty White dies of a stroke
According to her death certificate, Betty White died six days before her death due to a cerebral vascular accident, the medical term for a stroke. A stroke happens when the blood flow to the brain is cut off, causing damage to the brain due to a lack of oxygen.
White, who died on New Year’s Eve at the age of 99, was discovered dead at her Los Angeles home in the early hours of the morning. White’s most notable performances were in the “Golden Girls” and “Mary Tyler Moore,” and her fans throughout her career adored her.
It has been arranged that a nationwide film festival will be held on January 17th to commemorate White’s 100th birthday, which would have occurred on January 17th. To recognise White’s commitment to animal welfare, a documentary on her everyday activities will be shown in 900 theatres around the country.
Just a few weeks before her death, White told an interview that she was “so lucky to be in such excellent health and to be feeling so well at my age.” White died a few weeks later.
Ye accuses Kardashians of not inviting him to Chicago’s birthday party
His daughter’s big day was too important for Kanye West to miss. Chicago West’s fourth birthday party was a source of irritation for the multi-hyphenate on Saturday afternoon.
In an Instagram live footage, Kanye is seen driving and accusing the Kardashians of keeping him away from the party on purpose. He claims there is “no legal basis” for this kind of game. For the time being, I’m not participating since this is the type of stuff that has had a long-term impact on my health. New Year’s resolutions: I’m rewriting my story. As a Ye version of a parent, I will not let this happen.”
On Chicago’s birthday, Kanye sends his best wishes to the city and says he’s only sharing the video because he needs the support of his fans.
Immediately after the video’s release, Kanye West and Kris Jenner were seen together at a party in Chicago. Among others who appeared in the video were Stormi Webster, Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott’s kid, and the occasion seemed to be a joint birthday party for the two celebrities.
According to an Instagram video posted by West the same day as the party, the invitation from Scott and Kylie Jenner was the reason he was granted permission to attend. According to Kanye West’s comments in the video, “Yo, I’m feeling extremely good right now.” A shoutout to Travis Scott: “I just returned from my daughter Chi’s birthday party, where I was able to spend that precious occasion with her and the rest of our family,” the rapper writes.

Lady Gaga wins Icon Award
This year, Lady Gaga was presented with the Palm Springs Film Awards Icon Award at the Palm Springs International Film Festival. Although the awards ceremony was postponed due to Covid-19 incidents, the recipients were recognised and thanked for their contributions. Lady Gaga received the Icon Award for her role in Ridley Scott’s House of Gucci, a critical and commercial success.
On Instagram, Lady Gaga expressed her thanks for the honour she had just received. Taking a photo while clutching the coveted Icon Award, Gaga posed in a white heavenly Rodarte gown. A portion of the prize was given in honour of the organisation. “My icon is a mirror,” she stated in the description of the photo. You are the personification of my persona.”
House of Gucci is a fashion thriller in which Gaga plays Patrizia Reggiani, an Italian socialite who marries a wealthy Gucci family. Her portrayal has been much praised. She starred with Adam Driver, who portrayed the character of Maurizio Gucci.
Lady Gaga also expressed gratitude to Bradley Cooper for his assistance during the early stages of her career, adding, “I’m thankful for that.” “Bradley was the first filmmaker to consider me for the main role in a feature film, and I will be forever grateful to him for that. As soon as I contacted him about the role of Patrizia Reggiani, he was supportive and encouraging. He is straightforward and wise, and being self-aware is essential to his success as an actor and a producer. I think he’s fantastic in Guillermo del Toro’s Nightmare Alley, which he stars in.”
Michelle Jae Rodriguez becomes first openly trans actress to win a Golden Globe
The Golden Globe Awards’ reputation has been tarnished by a series of scandals involving the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, which is why this year’s awards were presented at a private event.
Pose’s Michaela Jaé Rodriguez took home the Golden Globe for best television actress in a drama series, making history as the first transgender woman to do so. While there were no public announcements or acceptance speeches, Rodriguez shared an emotional message on Instagram Live. She thanked everyone who had contributed to the program and spoke about how she hoped to pave the way for others.
“For the LGBTQAI (Black, Latina/o, Asian) as well as all of the other lovely hues of the rainbow, this is a rallying cry. Please understand that this is for all of us, not just me. “According to her, “It will be difficult to keep up with the influx of young individuals who will be surging in through the front doors. Those in attendance are reminded to be alert.”
Transgender and LGBTQ people of colour and the New York City underground dance scene finished their third and final season in June 2021.
Rodriguez played Blanca Evangelista, a ballroom dancer who also happened to be HIV positive. The core character of the program, a compassionate house mother, has received positive reviews from critics but has been overlooked at previous awards ceremonies. With Rodriguez’s, Pose’s win was the first time a trans female actor had won a Golden Globe.
Katy Perry and Alesso release “When I’m Gone” single
This is Katy Perry’s first time working with Grammy nominee Alesso as the music video for “When I’m Gone” was released on Monday. Hanna Lux Davis, who directed the video for Katy Perry’s newest single, also directed Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato, Nicki Minaj, Miley Cyrus, Christina Aguilera, Halsey and more.
“You know, I just believe it’s time to give them whatever they want.” That’s what the 37-year-old pop artist says at the beginning of the music video. Boston Dynamics’ new Spot four-legged robot accompanies Katy inside a Los Angeles manufacturing facility. With her thigh-high white boots on, Perry is seen dancing in an inch-deep pool of water.
Jon Batiste leads 2022 Grammy nominations
A total of 11 Grammy nominations were given to Jon Batiste in November, the most for any artist in a single year since Kendrick Lamar garnered 11 awards six years ago.
Because of the Grammys’ new “3-10” rule, which restricts members’ voting to three categories, it will be more difficult for Batiste’s supporters to click his name everywhere it appears (outside of the general field, also known as the Big Four categories). Batiste has been nominated in six different categories and the general category: R&B, jazz, American roots, visual media music, classical, and music video/film. Three of the six fields have been set aside for his most ardent followers.
